Stainless steel multifilaments yarns for sewing applications or antistatic brushes
I/ The THERMOSEW thread in special stainless steel alloy are withstanding very hig temperature for sewing applications

Close from the MULTIFILTECH family, the THERMOSEW yarns are engineered with a reverse twist suitable for sewing machines and a PTFE coating withstanding overheating in the process, and allowing a much better sliding ratio of the yarn.
Apart from the sliding ratio and the reverse twist, the THERMOSEW yarn is also characterised, as MULTIFILTECH yarns, by:
- An excellent withstanding against very high temperatures
- A constant electrical and thermal conductivity, independant of the mechanical load.
- An excellent electronic data transfer ratio, without interferences
- A good flexibility allowing small curve radius within flexible textiles or composites structures
- An excellent withstanding against multiple bending or "fatigue" effect.
- Good mechanical strength
- Withstanding against sweat, oxydation, salt water, l'eau salée, washing or cleaning processes etc.
The THERMOSEW yarn, is ideal to make a long lasting link betweed thermostable structures having to withstand very hig temperatures; It exist as:
- THERMOSEW 14 : Yarn Count :260 X 2 tex: 0,52 gr/m (or Nm 3,9/2) Beware! take in account the density of stainless steel (7,9)!
- Composition :
- 95 % bundles of micrometrical multi-filaments of stainless steel alloy, reverse twisted in two ply (sewing yarn)
- 5 % PTFE impregnation
- 1,5% elongation at break
- Electrical conductivity: 14 Ohms / meter
- Remarq : Other finer counts are under development.
II/ ANTISTATIB stainless steel micro filaments tow for printers antistatic brushes or other devices
TIBTECH offer a multifilament yarn made out of 275 parrallel micro wires of stainless steel, slightly coated with a PTFE.
- Nb filaments : 275
- Filaments count : 14 microns
- Percentage enduction: 5% PTFE

III/ CARBON Sewing threads
We have developped two new type of CARBON sewing yarns from TENAX® fiber:
Remarq: Although specially designed to allow stitching of carbon fibers, these yarns must be processed with care and at low speed in stitching or embroidery.
TENAX® Carbon multi-filament sewing thread,
With special reverse twist and a slight PU coating to optimize yarn processability.
characteristics:
- Composition: 100% Carbon TENAX®
- Count: 67x2 tex , or 0,14 grams/meter or Nm 7,1.
- Reverse twist
- Elongation at break : 1,5%
- Electrical resistivity: 218 Ohms/meter
- Sizing: PU (< to 1% )
- Packing: Generally small plastic cones of 500 meters
CARBON / PBO sewing thread from stretch broken Carbon fibers,
The carbon spun yarn is reinforced by a double PBO ZYLON® binder to increase the abrasion withstanding.
characteristics:
- Composition : Stretch broken (Crak) Carbone yarn with PBO binders
- Count: 228 tex , or 0,23 grams per meter or Nm 4,4
- Reverse twist
- Elongation at break : 1,5%
- Packing: Generally small plastic cones of 500 meters
