Thermal expansion of Metals, stainless steel alloys or conventional materials

Comparative Chart of thermal expansion

Thermal expansion

It represents the expansion of a material in meter by degree; For the clarity of the chart , the value is represented in 10 E-5 meter . (you can multiply the value by 10 to get it in micrometer) .

The thermal expansion is generally measured between 0°C and 100°C. Practically these coefficients are not strictly linear and depending of the temperature, specially in the high temperature range.
